Electrical Distribution System Testing Program Technician

Our career minded company is seeking a dedicated, responsible and service minded individual to work in the Industrial, Commercial and Municipal Sectors; work includes but is not limited to:

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of low/high voltage electrical distribution systems (up to 13,000 volts)
  • Qualified to service, repair, and test low to high voltage electrical distribution equipment
  • Familiar with NETA testing principles and standards
  • Familiar with various types of voltage, current, power monitoring equipment
  • Familiar with wet and dry type transformer maintenance and testing
  • Familiar with various types of breakers and associated equipment testing/servicing (including primary and secondary injection testing)
  • Ability to follow all safety protocols around energized equipment
  • Familiar with feeder and other protection relays (such as: GE-750 and Schweitzer relays)
  • Ability to coordinate activities between supervisor, sub-contractor test technicians, and client/customer.
  • Ability to generate and organize reports on equipment and systems
  • Ability to prioritize testing and repairs based on maintaining a well protected and reliable power system

** power distribution / generation company experience welcome

Hours: full or part time (may require some nights)
